Course Description

This training is specifically designed to guide you in how to use GEDC's Classification Structure in order to capture hard copy and electronic documents you create or receive on behalf of the organisation in the conduct of the GEDC’s business activities.

The training is based on the documents listed below. The person responsible for recordkeeping in your organisation should have already emailed these documents for you to print and have a copy to use throughout this training. 

It is important to understand that you need to become familiar with the contents PRIOR to starting this course.

  • Recordkeeping Policy & Procedure Manual - Refer to Section 6 specifically
  • GEDC's Classification Structure used to title files and electronic folders
  • File List Spreadsheet
  • Old Master File List Spreadsheet

We expect this training to be concluded within approximately 45 minutes and you will be able to stop and start the training should you need to and the training course will remember the point at which you paused the course. When you next login it will take you straight to the point at which you paused the course previously.

You will have two weeks in which to complete this training.
