Manuals are a cost-effective way to guide people in an organisation towards efficient, effective Information Practice.  Manuals can be used in either digital or physical (printed) form.

This Manual is designed to facilitate Local Government organisations to use a Network Drive in which to capture the organisation’s electronic/digital records/documents, until such time as the organisation is able to implement an Electronic Document & Records Management System (EDRMS) or similar solution.

A Network Drive set up with the required Folder Structure, Rules, and Procedures along with a program of simple monitoring, will enable an organisation to commence operating in the electronic environment.
